Teaching mathematics through activities


 

Mathematics is the science of recognising, understanding, appreciating, creating and using patterns in day to day life, business, sciences, work life, technology.


National Education Policy has introduced a new term mathematical thinking. To develop mathematical thinking it is extremely important that the student appreciates, understands the mathematical concepts through activities.


I came across a young mathematics teacher, Shruti Goel, who has a dedicated channel that teaches various key concepts through activities. Among many available channels that I have visited, including NCERT official, I find Shruti efforts most colourful, nicely presented and being produced consistently

The role of experience In the behaviour school of psychology, who treat, observe, measure only the behavioural aspects, modification in behaviour is considered learning. For example, if you are training your dog to get the ball back, it does it, it has learnt what it means to get the ball back.
