Mathematics is the science of recognising, understanding, appreciating, creating and using patterns in day to day life, business, sciences, work life, technology.


The DO’s for Parents to help child like maths


  • Love your child unconditionally

  • Let your child blossom into own self, give space 

  • Understand that each child is unique, try appreciate that unique feature

  • Develop a hopeful, long term perspective toward life

  • Help the child come up low scores, stressful situations

  • Once in a while talk informally, play, go for outing with the child

  • If the child is not strong in academics, see where she is strong

  • Realise that often students doing very good in lower classes under terrible parent pressure, gradually and increasingly under perform on self studies.

  • Help, assist, guide, the child in developing a routine, then study routine.


The DOn'ts for Parents to help child like maths


  • Never compare the child score, study habits, with siblings, friends, cousins

  • Never beat, yell, keep the child hungry for low scores

  • Never make public insults. How do you feel if the boss scolds in public ?

  • Never expect too much from your child. That he does school, tuitions, art, sports and be excellent in all. It is sure recipe for depression for you as well as the child.

  • Avoid linking the child's right to have good food, clothes, trips with family with the child's scores.

  • Do not give too many gadgets to the child that distracts

  • Do not discuss your disliking, failing at maths in school. Your life had its own challenges. The child feels he has it in heredity and does not even try
