Identifying and developing passion
Passion, popularly known as lagan in India, means what you prefer to do and want to be skilled at it. You may or may not make it your career too.
Being oblivious of terms like career, market demand and so on for a long time in my life (still I do not think I am much good about understanding both), one thing I was sure about and kept telling all that I would like to keep learning on the go for my entire life. That time, in the mid 1970s, in our minds, study was associated with getting a job.
Nearly that time, came Future Shock by Alwin Toffler who professed to learn, unlearn and relearn as the survival skills. Near the same time, I read Lata Mangeshkar ji interview in Parag, that time a popular choice of the adolescents, in which she said that the real fun is being a learner for the entire life. These two great people impacted me a lot and till date, I am into reading, writing, learning from life, people, videos, social media and every other possible platform.
Getting into B. Ed., even after passing M. Sc. (Statistics) was a logical thing to do, which went on to become, M. Ed., UGC(NET) and a Ph. D. Education in 1997. My elder daughter, Snehal who is M. Tech.(Artificial Intelligence) often appreciates my adapting the latest technology gadget, way of working. This all is because I am passionate about learning.
Nowadays, I am passionate about helping teachers to come out of the job, fixed income, security mindset and begin some side hustle to raise it to be a venture in reasonable time. The reader is welcome to explore possibilities through the Rich Teacher 5 Day workshop.
