Background The entire subject of mathematics came up from reasoning and in turn developed, enriched, the reasoning abilities. Inductive Reasoning ( From particular to General. Like, to test if rice is cooked, we test just one grain and infer about the entire rice or we test someone's employability by asking a few questions. This is inductive reasoning) and Deductive reasoning ( From general to particular, like I take the register of Class XI A, take a roll call and confirm it to be the register of Class XI A, all geometric theorem proofs are examples of deductive reasoning) are two distinct reasoning logics.


The worksheet today is of higher reasoning ability. Here, in an opening para, some coding instructions are given. The testee (One who is writing the test, that is you) is supposed to follow the instructions verbatim. Means putting aside common sense. For example, if the statement is All clouds are chairs - you have start from there instead of wondering how all clouds can be chairs ? Etc. 


This may be a new type of sheet for you, but give it a serious try and you will like it I am sure. Today also, after over 20 years of its making, I am at times struggling on some of the questions. For the first timers, solving 5 questions in 15 min should be a good achievement.
