 Beyond Abacus - 11 Course Objectives


Background After understanding the  7 Pillars of teachers’ training today we discuss the 11 Course Objectives of teachers’ training.


At the end of the training program, the participants would - 


  1. Understand the transitions in mathematics education with special reference to the National Education Policy

  2. Appreciate mathematics as a science of patterns

  3. Be able to revise or learn afresh mathematics content upto 10th standard from skill perspective

  4. Be familiar with modern methods of teaching 

  5. Be oriented to the creation and presentation of unique content through a research perspective.

  6. Be familiar with modern concepts like individual differences, construction of knowledge, taxonomy of educational objectives, multiple Intelligences

  7. Be familiar with developing higher order thinking skills among the students. 

  8. Be a true Digital Teacher. Using technology for information assimilation, organisation, delivery. Doing assessment, communication, all through the digital platforms available.

  9. Be able to enhance effective presence through social media

  10. Be given formal training on entrepreneurship skills

  11. Take Individual Franchise Plan to run Beyond Abacus franchise

The role of experience In the behaviour school of psychology, who treat, observe, measure only the behavioural aspects, modification in behaviour is considered learning. For example, if you are training your dog to get the ball back, it does it, it has learnt what it means to get the ball back. Closer to us, if the teacher has just taught the concept of odd and even and now asks her 10 students to arrange themselves in odd number of rows and they make five rows with two students in each,they can be seen to have learnt the concept of odd and even.
